I’m not participating in every daily topic for BBAW, but I had to reflect a little on today’s question: What does book blogging mean to you? So here goes…
Book blogging for me is an outlet for my own commentary about all things bookish in my life. Prior to my blog, I was limited to posting reviews on Amazon and Goodreads, but now I’ve created my own sandbox and can build any sandcastles I want. It has also allowed me to find like-minded people who are passionate about the same things I am. There is a great sense of community within the book blog universe, and it’s really opened doors for me. I have connected with authors, attended some fabulous events, and developed my own writing style. Overall, I love the written word, and my blog is how I share that with the world.
Nothing too profound, but starting my blog has been one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done. Stop by on Saturday, September 15th and help me celebrate my one-year blog-iversary!

Congrats on your upcoming blogiversary!
Thanks Jennifer! It’s been an awesome year!
What a great response! I love the community aspect, particularly. I love to talk about books with other book crazed people.
Cute blog Lit Kitty!
It is VERY rewarding, and I like how you made the parallel between building your own sandbox and you own sandcastles. I always though Amazon and Goodreads was the only place to post reviews too….so glad we found out that wasn’t true.
To me blogging is all about the wonderful bloggers who make it happen.
Stop by to see my post if you like.
Have a fun day.

Your blog is lovely Elizabeth. Thanks for stopping by!
I like the idea of building a personal sandbox, and then being able to invite people to join you in it. I think having a blog is a lot more fun than just posting reviews to another site like Goodreads or Amazon.
“starting my blog has been one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done.” Perfect description, and so true for so many of us, I’d say. There is so much more to blogging than the writing itself.
I love this. I also love getting to know even more people and their book blogs these days. For a long time, it was YA only blogs. . . it’s great to “meet” people who have similar interested and can dork out together.
